On-Premise Remote Support, Installed Where You Choose

Some organisations want their remote support platform inside their own walls. SimpleHelp installs on your own hardware or virtual machines, so connections, recordings and history stay on infrastructure you operate.

What does on-premise remote support mean?

On-premise remote support software runs on servers your organisation owns or controls, rather than on a vendor's cloud. You install it, configure network access and decide how it is backed up and updated.

Your hardware, your rules

Install SimpleHelp on a server in your data centre, office or private cloud.

Runs on familiar platforms

Install the SimpleHelp server on Windows, macOS or Linux, on physical hardware or a virtual machine.

Fits your network

Choose the hostname, ports and TLS certificate, restrict access by IP address, and use the built-in firewall controls.

Integrates with your identity

Connect technician sign-in to Active Directory, LDAP, Entra ID or other supported providers.

Scale and resilience

Use Condensers to segment large networks, and High Availability Failover for redundancy in Enterprise.

Bringing remote support in-house

A hospital IT team replaces a cloud remote support service with SimpleHelp on its own virtual infrastructure. Technicians sign in with their existing directory accounts, recordings stay in the hospital's data centre and updates are applied after testing in a maintenance window.

Technicians can work from the desktop console or the WebTech browser interface.

Make the trial match your real work

Start with a few test devices and a workflow your team knows well.

  • Install a trial server on a virtual machine in your environment.
  • Configure your hostname, TLS and directory sign-in.
  • Run the built-in security audit and review the results.

Your questions, answered

Is on-premise the same as self-hosted?

Broadly, yes. On-premise usually means hardware in your own buildings; self-hosted also covers private clouds and hosting providers you choose. SimpleHelp supports all of these.

What hardware do I need?

Requirements depend on the number of machines and concurrent sessions. A modest virtual machine is enough to start a trial; the documentation covers sizing.

Who handles updates?

You do, on your schedule. SimpleHelp provides updates, and your team decides when to test and apply them.
