Migrating from SimpleHelp 3.11

On newer SimpleHelp servers the location of many key configuration files changed. In newer versions configuration files are consolidated under a single configuration directory in your server installation folder. Migrating settings from an older release of SimpleHelp requires the following steps:

• Copy across the following key configuration files:
• serverconfig.xml.
• simplehelpdetails.txt under the DEPLOY folder.
• simplehelpdisclaimer.txt under the DEPLOY folder.
• Copy your branding files into the new configuration/branding folder.
• Copy the techprefs folder into configuration/techprefs.
• Copy invitations to configuration/invitations.
• Migrate any customised email tempates into configuration/templates.
• Migrate any customised email translations into configuration/translations.

NOTE: Each configuration subdirectory contains additional information on the best way to correctly keep your configuration. In the future, SimpleHelp will automatically migrate your settings from the configuration directory.
