Transitioning to SimpleHelp 5.5.0 and later

This document details changes to SimpleHelp that might affect you if you are upgrading from v5.3 or earlier.

To ensure compatibility with legacy versions: - Read any other important version transition advice that applies to the version you're currently running and follow any relevant advice - Update your server to 5.4.10 using an installer from the version library here: https://simple-help.com/previous-releases - Critical: Apply the security patch for 5.4.10 as detailed on the January 2025 vulnerabilities announcement article - Observe the security configuration advice in that article - Update all your remote machines' Remote Access services to 5.4.10 (see the relevant section of the Technician guide here). - Then update to the latest 5.5.x release
